HISTORY

In January 1971, Johns and Neel, Architects, who had formed a partnership in 1952, merged with a firm established in 1955, Rivers and Heuer, Architects, to become Heuer, Johns, Neel, Rivers + Webb, a partnership. In November 1978, the firm became a Professional Corporation, established under the laws of the State of Louisiana. January 1983, saw the firm's name changed to Architecture+, A Professional Corporation, which it remains to this day. The founders of Architecture+ established strong ties in the retail industry, with developers and department store owners. The relationships which were formed remain vibrant to this day with numerous commissions undertaken for these national clients who are leaders in their fields.



The work of the firm and many of the values and traditions established are rooted in the culture of North Louisiana. Many of our architects and engineers are alumni of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, near Monroe and our construction administrators are graduates of The University of Louisiana at Monroe. These close ties contribute to a cohesive team of professionals with a keen interest in design and the construction disciplines.
