Bio-Gas has successfully completed energy projects and installations around the world. The company prides itself on being diverse in its ability to provide solutions and serve the needs of its clients.



Bio-Gas built one of the first Landfill Gas-to-Energy Systems in the United States in 1991. That system was built in Brattleboro, Vermont. We have since built and installed systems across the United States for municipalities, landfill owners and developers. Another of our early systems was installed in Barrington, Illinois and is running at 125% of it’s capacity.



At one time, Bio-Gas owned and operated a Cogeneration System in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica. That 3.2 MW system provided heat, air-conditioning and electricity to an all-inclusive resort encompassing 135 acres.



Bio-Gas has designed, built, and installed systems for Vermont Energy Recovery; KMS Energy Systems; the City of Keene, New Hampshire; Dane County, Wisconsin; Verona Landfill, Burlington, Vermont; South Barrington, Illinois; BFI; and, Outagamie County, Wisconsin.



Bio-Gas' most recent landfill site completed construction in 2006 at the Outagamie County Landfill in Appleton, Wisconsin. Bio-Gas was responsible for its engineering, procurement of contracts, and construction; Bio-Gas still provides the day-to-day operation and maintenance of this site. This landfill system produces 4.8 MW of electricity and it also provides the County's maintenance garage with heat during the winter.



In early 2007 Bio-Gas completed construction of a 3.7 MW gas-to-energy system which utilizes Coal Mine Methane as fuel. This project is located in West Terre Haute, Indiana.



This is another system that Bio-Gas designed, engineered and constructed. This system was built entirely in modules to provide versatility to its owner.

Bio-Gas' President, James R. Heindlmayr, headed up an international sales team to develop, design and install distributed generation systems in Near East and Middle East for a local Caterpillar dealer.



He has also developed and implemented distributed generation projects in Egypt, Pakistan, Columbia, and Antarctica for the National Science Foundation.



Bio-Gas provided consultation services to the Rockefeller Foundation, Conservation Law, Zahren Alternative Energy Corporation, Raytheon Corporation and the Jamaican Government.



Bio-Gas has engineered and developed modular power generation packages for the Landfill Gas-to-Energy projects as well as the complete turn-key installation of these systems. They even designed, engineered and developed specialized engines drives for Consolidated Natural Gas Corporation (Dominion Energy).
