Black Gold has been operating in Alaska's oilfields since 1986. We entered the workforce housing business when approached by several oil companies, who noticed the high quality accommodations that Black Gold provided its own employees. These companies asked Black Gold to provide them the same products and services.
In 2009, Black Gold Oilfield Services formed to meet the intense need for workforce housing in the resource industries. We continue to operate many of the original camps today, and have grown exponentially while providing our clients with excellent housing experiences at highly competitive rates.
Black Gold has provided both large and small scale private arctic camps to companies across the North Slope, in some of the most remote and extreme locations on earth, such as the 86-man camp recently completed there. In addition to those private camps, Black Gold also operates several open camps, including the 400-bed Williston Lodge in North Dakota, the 208-bed Odessa Lodge in West Texas, and the soon-to-open Deadhorse Lodge on Alaska's North Slope. We can provide a camp anywhere in the United States and Canada.
No matter the challenge, from Texas to North Dakota to Alaska, and now Canada, and all places in between, Black Gold provides temporary worker housing of the highest quality. As the petroleum, gas and mining industries open up new areas for exploration, Black Gold Oilfield Services will continue to be there, exceeding the needs for worker housing.
