Husband-and-wife team Michael and Carol founded Brooklyn Hardware, LLC in 1994 to promote PanelclipÂ®, which was created by Michael's father, an architectural millworker. The construction industry in particular embraced PanelclipÂ®, and since then, the company has experienced growing success not only with PanelclipÂ®, but also with the continued development of new products.

In 1999, Brooklyn Hardware, LLC introduced KingclipÂ® to meet the need expressed by customers for a heavy-duty, bolt-mountable extruded aluminum hanger. Then, in 2003, the company came up with the perfect answer to light-duty hanging for artwork and signs. Called VclipzÂ®, this innovative hardware hanging device has a thin, 1/8" (.125) and 3/16" (.1875) profile that represents an entirely new approach to the interlocking stop design.
