In September 2008, the National Nuclear Security Administration awarded DNI a large competitive contract for the provision of the first phase of the most advanced transshipment systems in the world. DNI pioneered this technology - Radiation Detection Straddle Carriers (RDSCs) -to address international port security issues. This award makes DNI the only company in the world capable of providing US government-approved RDSC equipment for this purpose.
