Cuauhtemoc "Temo" Amezcua & Cindy Sirk Amezcua opened Fiesta Cafe in February 2009. Temo immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico in 2001 and married Cindy in November 2007. Soon after their first wedding anniversary, they started researching what it takes to open a restaurant. They discovered it was a lot...so they put their idea on the back burner, so to speak. Little did they know the burners were already lit! An amazing opportunity opened up for them in Mechanicsville; the gears were set in motion and they decided to take the plunge, sieze the opportunity, and open up Fiesta Cafe.
Cindy was born and raised in Mechanicsville, just three miles from the restaurant, and remembers as a child running around Johnny Wood's grocery store, the business that originally occupied the space in the 70's and 80's.
Funny how things come full circle.
Temo & Cindy focused their efforts on first creating a menu with homemade recipes and fresh, high quality ingredients. Second on their priority list, but equally as important as the food, is customer service. They are committed to serving their patrons with a smile and a grateful attitude. Temo & Cindy have been blessed with amazing customers and are most grateful for the opportunity to serve good food in a great area.
