Laurel Marie Hagner is the owner and artist behind Glassometry Studios. Having received her BFA cum laude from Northern Kentucky University in 2000, she spent a great deal of time honing her diverse craft of metal and glass working skills via numerous jobs, extra curricular classes, travel, and a tremendous amount of personal artwork production.

Laurel?s mission as an artist is to continuously evolve not only as a craftsperson, but also as one who is sharing ideas and opportunities of expression with the community. Her work can be found nationally, spanning public and private sectors. It is her interest that Glassometry Studios play a holistic role in providing artwork, events, and exposure in general to a multitude of creative endeavors.

Over the years, Laurel has studied at numerous institutions around the country as well as in Italy. She also spent time as the manager of the Special Projects Department at Savoy Studios, one of the world?s largest art glass firms. Another two years she spent as the Art Glass Coordinator for Chemeketa Community College. In the midst of these jobs she continued to pursue creating public art, commissions, and teaching appointments around the country.

After a great deal of commitment to other studios or schools she decided to take all of her experience and passion and focus it into her own entity which is now Glassometry Studios. Read more about the studio on our studio page.

?My satisfaction comes from giving sculptural life to beauty, strength, grace, and liberation through artwork of dynamic scale and intricate design. In a world where our daily lives are filled with repetition, I hope to give viewers breathing room to feel, think, and embrace the beauty and meaning in life.?
