Long-time innovator and technical director for the prestigious design firm Heffernan Morgan, Robert Mertzlufft purchased the company from its founder, Bill Heffernan in 2003. This allowed Bill to focus exclusively on design while Bob cultivated growth, combing the industry for the best and the brightest. By adding choice weekly accounts and cutting-edge corporate events to the lavish weddings and opulent galas the company was known for, he advanced Heffernan Morgan's presence in the marketplace. Bob expanded the company's capabilities, solidifying Heffernan Morgan's reputation in the industry as a leader in luxurious, design-driven events.

He did it again in 2008 when he purchased the boutique event design firm, Botanicals, Inc., known for its lush and artful floral creations and fresh approach to event design. Through his investment, Bob tripled the capabilities Botanicals offered to their existing client base, while broadening his reach into a new market.

In 2010, the acquisition of Ronsley Special Events, nationally renowned for its production capabilities--particularly in art, graphics, and custom fabrication--secured the compilation of an unheralded design trio. The acquisition of Ronsley Special Events furthered Bob's market place and he retained the recognition of Ronsley with the corporate name chane from Heffernan Morgan Inc to Heffernan Morgan Ronsley Inc.

Now, collaborating as one cohesive brand, with some of the most forward thinking designers, skilled artisans and masters of craft, we present to you our new atelier, HMR Designs.
