Buddy Himes, founder and owner of Himes Service Company Inc. has served the recycling community for over twenty-five years. Mr. Himes entered the recycling industry in the mid 80's as a hydraulic and electrical specialist for Mosley Machinery, a manufacturer of balers and densifiers. During his tenure as Senior Service Technician with Mosley, Buddy performed multiple system installations, serviced equipment and conducted training classes for general equipment operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting resolution and system management.

With the extensive knowledge Buddy gained, he was recruited by US Wire Tie as a regional sales and service representative and then again by Presona AB, a Swedish based baler manufacturer. As President of Presona's US based subsidiary, Buddy worked with several municipal and corporate entities providing development, design and implementation of recycling centers across the US.

In 1997, Mr. Himes established HSC, Inc., continuing to provide reliable, experienced service on all types of recycling equipment systems nationwide and abroad. Since then, Mr. Himes has continue to grow his company by implementing service programs designed to help his customers extend the life of their equipment in a safe and productive manner.

Over the past 20 years Buddy has been sought as an expert speaker for various conferences to discuss maintenance and installation of recycling systems as well as system design and equipment selection. Previous engagements have included the 2001 Plastics Conference in New Orleans, the 2002 Paper Symposium in Biloxi, the 2006 Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority Citizens Advisory Committee Symposium in St. Croix, and the 2009 Paper Recycling Conference & Trade Show in Atlanta. Throughout the years he has been featured in several articles in the Recycling Today Magazine and the Official Board Markets. Mr. Himes holds the title of Executive Vice President on the board of Himes Service Company, as well as Treasurer on the board of Clean Islands International.
