Ms. Laughland is licensed to practice in all of the Courts in the state of Missouri. She regularly handles hearings and trials before the Circuit Court and has argued before the Missouri Court of Appeals Western District and the Supreme Court of the State of Missouri. She also regularly practices before The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri. She is a member of various legal groups and committees, most notably the Missouri Bar, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Cass County Bar Association, and the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association. She has been involved in various community organizations throughout her career including as a merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts of America. She previously served a three-year term on the board of officers on the Jackson County Public Water Supply District Number 1 after being elected by the citizens of Grandview.
