M. J. PIPE & SUPPLY was incorporated in New York State in 1991. M. J. Pipe then purchased the Rochester, NY branch from Water Products of Aurora, Illinois in January 1992. Though M. J. Pipe is relatively young, we have years of experience in our employees in the water and sewer industry. (See employee section). Our location has been a "pipe yard" since the 1890's.

Robinson Clay Products originally owned our location at 609 Buffalo Road. Robinson Clay sold clay pipe and pottery at this location from 1895 until Clow Corporation purchased it in 1969.

Clow Corporation proceeded to operate in this location as a clay pipe yard until 1971. The location was originally part of the Valve Division and water products were introduced in 1971. Clow continued to expand the product lines carried and the branch was responsible for all Clow Sales in Western New York. Clow over the years transformed the Rochester Branch from the Valve Division to the Distribution Division to the PVC Division and finally the Ductile Iron Division.

McWane purchased the Clow Corporation in 1985 and sold the Rochester Branch to Water Products of Illinois.
