Welcome to the New Haven Companies, a strong national network of people, products and services. We manufacture, sell, and rent products designed to help you move, relocate, and store with confidence. Today, the New Haven Companies operate fourteen (14) Company owned stores nationwide, and are America's premier providers of Corrugated, Packaging, and Moving Equipment supplies to the Moving and Storage Industry. We are proud to serve the U.S. Military, National Aerospace, Entertainment and Handicapped transportation industries, in both domestic and international markets.

New Haven Moving Equipment was founded in New Haven, CT in 1911 by David H. Levine. More than 100 years ago, the Company's efforts were primarily the manufacture of bed comforters and concrete curing mats used for the building of roads.

Volunteering for service with the American Expeditionary Forces in WWI, Mr. Levine had the opportunity to see Britain's largest battleship in the harbor of Marseilles, France - the HMS Dreadnaught. Mr. Levine decided that if he lived thru the conflict ahead, when he returned home from duty he would brand his products after this most impressive battleship. We're honored to say he did. This battleship represented to him the very same authority, strength, and presence he wished for his own company.

In those early years, company records show the addition of furniture padding, two and four wheel dollies, and special textile related items. During WWII the company manufactured camouflage nets for both the European and Pacific campaigns, as well as the green "GI" blanket.

The company's expansion began in earnest with the founder's son J. Paul Levine. He introduced new products and services into the Moving and Storage, Military, and Aeronautic industries. He soon expanded manufacturing to Dallas, TX, and Los Angeles, CA. with sales and warehouse outlets in multiple states. J. Paul Levine's industry leadership earned him the "Distinguished Service Award" by the American Moving and Storage Association. He is the first industry supplier to have ever won this coveted award.

J. Paul's sons James, Roger, and Larry manage the New Haven Companies today. Since New Haven opened its doors in 1911, we've grown from coast-to-coast to be closer to our customers. Fully stocked warehouses complement our showrooms and web fulfillment centers.
