Built in 1887, the elegant Strater Hotel is one of Colorado's most distinguishable landmark. It is located in the heart of downtown Durango and is just 2 blocks from the famous Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Depot. The hotel has been run by the Barker family for three generations since 1926 and has had the distinction of being one of Colorado's finest Victorian Hotels.

Steeped in history, the hotel is also a lively spot with entertainment. It houses the world famous Diamond Belle Saloon, the Henry Strater Theatre, the Office Spiritorium, the Mahogany Grille and the Strater Catering company.
