The Peterson Company leads collaborative research efforts that consist of over 14 companies, involves more than 22 scientists, and includes activities with several universities. The Peterson Company provides a broad line of specialty ingredients along with a full range of testing, research services and extensive experience in all facets of pet food formulating. Ron Sayen, CEO has a background in the technical research of canned, soft-moist, dry and treat pet food formulations, as well as extensive experience in the identification, development and sales of specialized ingredients for the pet food industry.

Leigh Ann Sayen, President and Owner, has a technical background that has been instrumental in the continued growth of the company in both a product development and technical sales capacity. She holds a B.A. degree in Economics (Phi Beta Kappa) from Kalamazoo College and post graduate work in Food Science at Michigan State University.

Our ingredient screening process includes in depth formulation review, process technology review, analytical testing, microbiological profiles and palatability testing.
