Started in 1946 as a bookseller and publisher, ATC has been at the forefront of efforts to publish Christian Literature, including reprints of foreign editions, and make them available to clergy, religious and laity at concessional rates.

With over 1000 titles to its credit and a wide distribution network in India/Asia that has seen the distribution of over 25 million copies, ATC is one of the largest distributors for several publishers worldwide.

In 2010, ATC became the first lay organisation to publish a Catholic Bible in India - Revised Standard Version - Catholic Edition (RSV-CE) at a program that witnessed the presence of 2 Cardinals and 20 Archbishops besides a large number of priests, sisters and eminent dignitaries.

The same year, at the express wish of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, ATC was chosen as the Pope's publisher in Asia for "The Spirit of Liturgy" and later went on to publish for Asia, the Pope's interview "Light of the World" and the newly released "Jesus of Nazareth: Holy Week", the sequel to the Pope's earlier book "Jesus of Nazareth".

At 65, ATC stands tall today as one of the most respectable names in Christian publishing.
