ABOUT US
The Colich name has a long history of success in the underground construction business. Todor Colich, John Colich's grandfather came to this country from Yugoslavia in 1894. He began working in the construction business in 1904 installing sewer connections for houses. Some 42 years later Don Colich, decided to follow in his father's footsteps and started his own construction company with $850. He partnered with his brother, Milan Colich, and Pete Wucetich and formed what was then called Colich Construction Company. Their very first job was installing a 30-ft. long sewer connection near UCLA.
Over the years, Colich Construction Company underwent many changes. In 1976, Don Colich partnered with his twin sons, John M. Colich and Tom P. Colich, who had their own construction company, Colich Bros. Together they formed Colich and Sons (JV). A few years later, Don retired and sold his interest to his sons. Colich and Sons (JV) is now owned and operated by John M. Colich and has completed a number of challenging projects, both public and private, throughout Southern California.
John M. Colich founded U-liner, Inc. in 1991 and that company evolved into Southwest Pipeline and Trenchless Corp. in 1999. The company, headquartered in Gardena, California, is a major provider of repair, restoration & rehabilitation services for deteriorating infrastructure.
The Company uses industry leading trenchless products for pipe and lateral service connection restoration. Trenchless methodology and techniques used in pipeline rehabilitation eliminates the need for excavation and minimizes traffic disruption, thus providing the most cost effective pipe restoration solutions for lines with diameters of 6 to 120 inches. Southwest Pipeline's expertise is backed by pipeline industry construction experience dating back to 1946. Since its founding, the company has often been the first to deploy and use advanced trenchless methods and techniques.
