At S&P Contracting, we follow a detailed set of steps to design your home remodeling project or new addition. Over our combined forty years of design and contracting experience, we feel that we have developed a system that will make sure that we think through and plan every detail of your project. Our process makes sure that our designers and contractors have a strong understanding of your space and your needs and will develop options to fit your overall vision for your project.

Here is a look at our design process from your first contact with S&P to our final visit to your completed project:
1. Initial Contact – Customer visits our showroom or contacts our company by phone or email.
2. Our designer schedules and appointment with you.
3. Our design team visits the site of your project. We will talk with you to understand your needs and visions for the space as well as take necessary measurements.
4. Our construction team the site of your project to work with you to understand your needs and plan the construction project.
5. We present you, our client, with a rough layout of the design, as well as a rough estimate for cabinets and construction. We will discuss our plan for your remodeling or addition project including specific design details and the the day-to-day completion of work.
6. Design/Pre-Construction Agreement - You will pay a deposit that will be credited towards the final cost of your project.
7. Design and Construction Phase – Your design and construction details are worked out over this time.
8. Your cabinet and construction project will be presented to you. You will receive detailed drawings and plans, appliance information, a payment schedule, and the final construction and cabinet contracts. A final price for the construction and cabinets is presented to you and the contract is signed by you, our customer. Your deposit for the commencement of work will be due at this time.
9. The construction team begins work. We will schedule regular meetings for both design and construction updates as your remodeling project progresses.
10. When your work is nearly finished, we will lead you on a final inspection and walk-through of your project.
11. When the work is finished to your satisfaction, we will schedule and exit interview with you to asses how you felt about our process and how you feel about the finished project. With your approval, we will photograph your new addition or remodeled space.
