Transition Assist acts as a Medicare Coordinator, providing retirees superior service as they convert from an employer’s existing group medical program to a new health account-based plan. We were designed and structured based on interviews conducted with hundreds of retirees who have experienced similar transitions. The result is a retiree-centric service delivery model with first-class service experience for the individual in transition.

We have created a generous service platform that allows considerable time to first educate individuals about Medicare. We then work directly with the individual to provide an assessment of how the conversion will impact their specific existing lifestyle and financial position both short-term and long-term. As part of this consultation, we set expectations very clearly, so that each person understands what will remain the same compared to their existing coverage, and what might be different with their newly elected individual policy.

Retirees and their family members have the ability to view and compare plans in their area via online web access, if desired. Recognizing the service needs of this specific population, Benefit Specialists are staffed to counsel individuals based on their specific needs assessment. Upon plan selection, our Benefit Specialists help with the enrollment for each individual.

To this end, the licensed Benefits Specialists are paid salary with bonuses based on customer service, process, and product knowledge. This eliminates the temptation for the Benefit Specialist to “sell” plans or “steer” decisions that may not be in the best interest of the individual retiree.
