Our founders, brothers Alfred and Wallace Thompson, saw a need for an honest scrap metal recycling facility in Wake county over 35 years ago. TT&E Iron & Metal, Inc. opened its doors in 1975 on a small two-acre site located on Garner Road, just south of Raleigh. TT&E is now located on a 60 acre site in Garner and treats customers with the same friendly and efficient service it originally offered over 35 years ago. Owners Ronnie and Scott Thompson bought the business from their fathers and in 2009 took the operation to the next level by building and opening a state of the art shredder facility that currently shreds over 320 million pounds of metal per year.
