Our organization was formed in 1985 by the Tribal Council of the Ute Mountain Ute Indian Tribe, for the purpose of creating a Tribal owned business enterprise that would develop employment and income for the Tribe. The company is wholly owned by the Tribe and has functioned as a successful construction company under the same name since its inception.
From its beginning, as a construction organization, Weeminuche Construction Authority has successfully completed a variety of projects in the Four Corners Region. In the process, Weeminuche has developed a first class reputation for quality construction at competitive costs. The types of projects vary from: Oil Field Construction, Residential and Commercial Building, Heavy and Highway Construction and Municipal Improvements. All of these projects are performed on a merit shop basis with maximum utilization of Native American laborers and craftsmen. Additional skilled craftsmen are obtained from the local work force allowing us to staff any project with qualified craftsmen to maintain and provide quality work for our clients.
Weeminuche's management team has a diversity of experience in all phases of construction and related engineering disciplines. It is our policy to provide each project with this management support to insure that our client's needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner. No project is too small to receive this professional support from our management staff.
Weeminuche Construction Authority will provide our clients with the full range of construction services that they require. These services include: Conceptual estimates to assist in project planning, scheduling the job on a computer system if requested, along with cost data and resource requirements, and a construction survey department. Weeminuche performs most of our work utilizing our own work forces which allows better control over schedule and cost. This "CAN DO" attitude and capability minimizes the requirements for subcontractors and the associated problems with them.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity of presenting a synopsis of our company and its capabilities. We sincerely hope that we can be of service in the near future and look forward to providing you with a quality project.
We would be pleased to provide any additional information you might require regarding our firm or execute any formal pre-qualification form that you require.
